Stuart the otter and his best friend Godfrey the duck both arrive for their freshman year at Boxen University. Both look forward to meeting upper-class friends they made at orientation, like Cliff the jaguar, who lives in their new dormatory.
Cliff gets easily annoyed at Stuart's over-zealousness, though ... to the point where he conspires to trick Stuart into breaking up with Sarah the raccoon, his childhood sweetheart, in order to chase after Frieda, a rather flirty otter with a European accent. Willard the hyena is Cliff's roommate and resident advisor; he sees what Cliff is doing and also knows Frieda can be trouble. He warns Cliff he's playing with fire, perhaps even endangering his own romance with Lisa the jaguar. Meanwhile, Eileen the rabbit, a transfer student and Sarah's new roommate, pauses from hunting down hunky student athletes long enough to strike up the beginnings of a meaningful friendship with Rick the mouse. And in the midst of Cliff's troubles, Taylor the lioness steps into his life out of nowhere, perhaps to teach him a new trick or two. Confused? Stuart the otter attends Boxen University, studying art. Since high school, he's been dating Sarah, one of his best friends; although lately he's become a bit of an idiot, chasing after Felicia, a vixen, even though she is currently dating the athlete Rolfe, a wolf, who would like nothing better than to punch Stuart's lights out sometimes.
Sarah's roommate is Eileen, a rabbit who's got a think for hunky guys; and though she's not chasing after Rolfe, she has been striking up a close friendship with Rick, a mouse who walks on crutches but maintains a positive outlook on life. Oddly enough, Eileen is also dating Godfrey the duck, Stuart's roommate, who is not hunky, but the two of them seemed to click. Feeling self-conscious, Godfrey sometimes asks for advice from Willard the hyena, a member of the football team and all-around nice guy. One of Willard's teammates is Cliff the jaguar, who lives in the same suite as Stuart and Godfrey, and generally hates to swim. He's been dating Lisa, another jaguar and a friend of the family, although that relationship has gotten a bit rocky since she's transferred to another college to study music. Things get more complicated when Cliff meets Taylor, another athlete and lioness, who seems to spark his interest even more than Lisa did. And Lisa is so far away ... Cliff sometimes talks about his problems to Bill the aardvark, who also lives in their suite, and also studies music. Confused? You won't be, after reading Buffalo Wings Reunion: Volume One! |
